HAU has secured the 370th spot in the Global Top 400 Innovative Universities and earned distinctions in six specialized categories in the 2025 World University Rankings for Innovation (WURI), with results released on July 9.
Out of over a thousand participating institutions, HAU stood out in the following categories:
- 6th out of 87 in Ethics and Integrity
- 20th out of 100 in Industrial Application
- 29th out of 100 in Student Support and Engagement
- 43rd out of 47 in Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Trend
- 58th out of 73 in Crisis Management
- 61st out of 80 in University Brand and Reputation
Following HAU’s application for WURI 2025 on January 15, the Commission on Higher Education Regional Office (CHEDRO) III confirmed on February 10 that 25 higher education institutions (HEIs) from Central Luzon had participated in the international rankings to boost the region’s global visibility.
Of the 25 participating institutions, 11 made it to the list, with HAU placing 10th among Central Luzon colleges and universities.
Other Pampanga-based institutions made the WURI 2025 rankings include:
- Pampanga State Agricultural University in 327th
- Mabalacat City College in 334th
- Don Honorio Ventura State University in 338th
- National University – Clark in 342nd
- City College of San Fernando, Pampanga in 348th
WURI assesses HEI’s real contributions to industry and society, highlighting innovation in education, research, and societal and community engagement.
