The first three months of academic year 2026–2027 have laid bare the continuing neglect and deaf ears of those charged with governance, within and beyond the university — most glaringly in the face of the enhanced Southwest Monsoon that left Pampanga under a state of calamity.

The issue takes a closer look at the concerns confronting the Angelite community, from HAU’s continuing reliance on government for class suspensions, refusal to grant earlier partial payment slips, AI usage, and lack of updates on the status of the July 28 incident probe.

Beyond the campus, the issue explores the Philippines’ involvement in Pax Silica and the university’s use of artificial intelligence, while continuing to amplify the struggles of Kapampangans amid persistent sociopolitical and economic challenges.

Such are the stories presented in the first issue of The Angelite for A.Y. 2026–2027 — stories that demand not only attention, but accountability.
