Senatorial aspirant and television personality Willie Revillame pledged to extend assistance to the municipality of Santo Tomas, Pampanga, should members of the Ronquillo family secure positions in the 2025 National and Local Elections (NLE).
During Team Ronquillo’s “grand caucus” in Barangay San Matias on May 6, Revillame urged residents to vote for the Ronquillo family — Raymond for mayor, Gloria “Ninang” for vice mayor, and Ana for councilor — in the upcoming elections.
“Tulungan niyo ‘ko. Panalunin niyo ‘ko, at ‘pag nanalo ako, panalunin niyo pamilyang ‘to. At pag nanalo ‘to, tutulungan ko kayo sa senado,” said Revillame.
This endorsement follows an earlier public appearance linking Revillame to the Ronquillos — Raymond Ronquillo was featured as a special guest on Revillame’s television program Wil to Win in February and later posted photos with him alongside Senators Migz Zubiri, Bong Revilla, and Ronald “Bato” Dela Rosa.
Raymond is also the owner of Eman Pulo Beach Resort in Zambales, a location mentioned in a recent Senate investigation into Philippine Offshore Gaming Operators (POGO). The resort was linked to reports involving former Bamban Mayor Alice Guo who was allegedly seen at the property.
Prior to their candidacy, the family had long held political positions in Santo Tomas. Patriarch Romeo Ronquillo served as mayor from 1995 to 2001, while Gloria Ronquillo, now running for vice mayor, has held the mayoral post from 2019 to 2022.
Vying for the mayoral seat against Raymond is Sto. Tomas Vice Mayor Matias “Bong” Pineda and Mayor John Sambo.
