HAU Golden Guardians overwhelmed the Our Lady of Fatima University (OLFU) Fatima Phoenix, 3 – 0, marking their third consecutive win in the National Athletic Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (NAASCU) Season 22 men’s volleyball, June 20.

Despite the Golden Guardians’ slow start, they clawed their way back, refusing to let the Fatima Phoenix push for the win — eventually breaking a 23-all deadlock to snatch the opening set, 25 – 23.

Despite a five-point surge from the Fatima Phoenix in the second set, the Golden Guardians roared back and dragged the set into deuce, finishing the set in a 26 – 24 clutch. 

Riding their momentum, the Guardians kept their composure in the third set, edging out OLFU once again, 25–23, to complete the straight-sets victory.

Their third straight win put them in prime position for the upcoming semifinals on June 26.

Concurrently, they are set to return to court for their fourth match on June 24, with both the opponent and venue yet to be confirmed.
