The Campus Services and Development Office (CSDO), through a letter from Executive Director Mr. Jeffrey Nepomuceno, announced the implementation of a new traffic scheme within the HAU vicinity, effective November 3, 2025, alongside adjusted school hours for the Basic Education Department (BED).
In coordination with the Angeles City Traffic Development Office (ACTDO), the CSDO will open the St. Raphael Gate or 7/11 Gate along Flora Street from Mondays to Fridays, 6:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m., to accommodate student drop-offs, including vehicles without stickers.
Employees and students with HAU vehicular stickers entering through this gate may proceed via the fountain roundabout in front of the San Francisco De Javier (SFJ) building to access the campus.
To ensure a “smoother traffic flow,” a one-way traffic scheme will also be implemented from the St. Raphael Gate to the Guardian Angel Gate along Holy Angel Avenue during the same hours.
Meanwhile, ACTDO personnel will be deployed in the area to manage traffic and apprehend vehicles that illegally park or make U-turns along Flora Avenue, which have been identified as major causes of congestion.
The St. Barachiel Gate along Holy Angel Avenue will remain exclusive to employees and students with HAU vehicular stickers, and drop-offs in this area will be prohibited.
Starting November 10, a new class schedule for BED will take effect with the opening of the new semester. Laboratory Elementary School and junior high school students will have classes from 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., while senior high school students will follow a schedule from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
“This change is intended to reduce the number of vehicles on the road during peak traffic hours, creating a safer and more efficient commute for our students, staff, and all community members,” said the CSDO executive director.
He added, “Our priority remains the safety and well-being of our students, and we are committed to working collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure a smooth transition.”
