In a golden comeback, the HAU Golden Guardians shot a radical victory against the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP) Radicals, 72 – 52, in the men’s basketball tournament of the Universities and Colleges Premier League (UCPL) Season 2 at the PUP gymnasium, January 22.

Managing successful early steals, the Golden Guardians rushed through with a double lead, 8 – 16 for the first quarter, 38 – 20 at halftime, and 51 – 38 for the third quarter before bringing home the crown with a three-point shot from Team Captain Andrei Lagman, 72 – 52.

Dominating the game, Semaco Sacmar III earned the Player of the Game title with 10 points, 15 rebounds, 2 assists, and 2 blocks, playing the trump card for the team’s comeback.

After the win, HAU men’s basketball team recorded a win-lose tie at 2 – 2.
